Qwickly

Qwickly is a tool for Blackboard that allows instructors to update course availability and batch send course emails and announcements all in one place. Instructors can access Qwickly from the My Blackboard page in Blackboard, making it quick and easy to complete these common course tasks.

Students can also use Qwickly to send an email to one or more instructors at one time.

How to Update Course Availability Using Qwickly

You can quickly make courses available or unavailable to students by using the Qwickly module on the My Blackboard page. Use Qwickly to make your Blackboard sites visible to enrolled students without having to enter each course site.

  1. Log into Blackboard and access the My Blackboard page.
  2. Locate the Qwickly module. [View screenshot]
  3. Click the Course Availability link to reveal a list of your courses. [View screenshot]
  4. Next to the name of a course, toggle the availability button to ON to make a course available to students. Toggle the availability button to OFF to make a course unavailable to students.
  5. Your changes will save automatically.

How to Post Course Announcements Using Qwickly

Instructors can use Qwickly to quickly post an announcement to a single course or to post the same announcement to multiple courses at one time.

  1. Log into Blackboard and access the My Blackboard page.
  2. Locate the Qwickly module. [View screenshot]
  3. Click the Post Announcement link. A pop-up will appear. [View screenshot]
  4. Check the boxes next to the courses that you would like to post the announcement to. 
  5. Type the subject of the announcement in the Announcement Subject field.
  6. Type the content of the announcement in the Announcement Message field. 
  7. Optionally, check the box next to Email Announcement to send a copy of the announcement immediately.
  8. Click Submit.
  9. You will see a confirmation message that your announcement has been posted.

How to Send Course Email Using Qwickly

Instructors can use Qwickly to quickly send an email to all users in a single course or to send the same email to multiple courses at one time.

  1. Log into Blackboard and access the My Blackboard page.
  2. Locate the Qwickly module. [View Screenshot]
  3. Click the Send Email link. A pop-up will appear. [View Screenshot]
  4. Check the boxes next to the courses that you would like to send the email to. 
  5. Check the box next to Send this Email to Myself to receive a copy of the email. If you choose this option, you can select to receive a copy of the email only once or per selected course.
  6. Type the subject of the email in the Email Subject field.
  7. Type the body of the email in the Email Message field. 
  8. Click Select File From Computer to attach a file to the email message, if needed.
  9. Click Submit to send the email message.
  10. You will see a confirmation message that your email has been sent.
